Welcome to the wild world of ZOONOOZ
What is ZOONOOZ? Well, for one thing the title is a palindrome: the same forward, backwards, and upside down! Beyond that, it is the San Diego Zoo's member magazine, 32 pages of colorful animal and event information published every month.
First published in 1926, it is one of the benefits included in becoming a member of the San Diego Zoo, and most of the 250,000 plus circulation is mailed to our members.

Birds of a Feather Walk Together
"I won't fly—don't ask me!" And the kiwi, New
Zealand’s best-known flightless bird, doesn't really
need to. While these unusual birds possess tiny,
one-inch-long wings that won't get them off the
ground, they have strong, muscular legs that get
them around quite nicely—and quite quickly!
With characteristics that make it more like a
mammal than other birds, the kiwi is a truly—and
wonderfully—"odd bird." Discover more about the
