Zoo Photography: Shutterbug Sessions
Photography enthusiasts, here’s your chance to enjoy a two-hour window of time each month when you can practice your photography at the Zoo with an expert on hand to help answer questions and give advice. Best of all, this opportunity happens before the Zoo opens to guests. You’ll find it easy to get the shots you’re looking for without any human heads in the way!
Instructor Craig Racicot’s experience in photography is only eclipsed by his enthusiasm for teaching the subject. Currently he instructs digital media, from photography to PhotoShop, and he previously spent 19 years at San Diego Zoo Global as a bus driver, animal keeper, and photographer. Craig delivers his topic with humor and humility while sharing his knowledge gained from photographing lions on the Serengeti, ospreys in Baja California, and the Incan ruins in Machu Picchu, to name a few.
