Summer Camp 2012: Teen Survivor Challenge
Prepare to experience the ultimate summer camp, where fantasy meets imagination and dreams become reality. Each day campers will participate in action-oriented activities that take you into a keeper’s or animal’s world. Challenges and environmental based experiences will provide insight into the world of the wild. Select one or two weeks of adventure! For teens entering grades 8 to 12 in the fall of 2012.
Survivor Zoo Challenge
Keepers, vets, and wildlife researchers face amazing challenges each and every day. How do you move a carnivore from an exhibit to the vet for a checkup? How do you do dental work on an elephant? How do you know if an animal is sick when all animals hide frailties so they aren’t preyed upon? These are just a few of the team challenges you’ll face in this fast-paced adventure. Bears, elephants, and snakes are just some of the program’s highlights.
July 23–27
Survivor Wildlife Challenge
Animals face unbelievable challenges each day in the wild. Just staying alive requires some fancy footwork! Catching prey, eating dinner instead of becoming dinner, finding a mate, keeping your mate from eating you or your offspring—these are just some of the challenges you’ll actively ponder. Lions, primates, and insects are a few of the program’s highlights.
