I say welcome! to a little panda girl, once more.
I watch you being brought up all the time.

Hi I have enjoyed the Panda cam for some time now, and I have been watching since the birth of Sue Lin, now this newest cub.
I also voted on Sue Lins name, and was wondering when, and if we will be able to do the same with the new cub?
Thank You,
Marie Sadowski

At long last the waiting is finally over. It doesn’t matter anyway what the gender is. As long as Mama
Bai and the little one are in good health. I just hope one day she’ll get to play with her sister Su Lin.

How exciting — a baby girl!!! I can’t wait until they pick a name!!
September 13th, 2007 at 10:21 pm
I’m so happy it’s a girl! Now I can call her ’she!’ I think they should name her after her sister, Hua Mei, but it’s up to the zookeepers. Good luck with her!

Congratulations Bai Yun. I love watching your darling little girl grow up on the panda cam. You are such a wonderful mama.

congratulations, she is such a health robust girl, well done mum for all the good care you are giving her, and thanks again to you all at sdz for all the updates and information that you give us.

Woo hoo, it’s a girl! Congrats to Bai and Gao once again! Time for the proud father to pass out cigars with pink wrapping! To Mei Sheng - you stand alone among many females! What more can a young male bear ask for!
I love the new pictures of the cub! She gets more beautiful by the minute. I’m so glad I can finally write “she!”
Thank you SDZ for letting us all know when you felt comfortable! I can’t wait to see this little one become mobile and chase her mother around! What a blessing to be able to tune in to these precious moments!
September 14th, 2007 at 6:40 am
They won’t name her until she’s 100 days right? That will be around November 11th, right?
September 14th, 2007 at 6:49 am
I am so happy that the newest little bundle of joy is a healthy girl. I really hope to get to come and see her next year and her lovely mother. I can not wait to see what you or we will pick for her name. I watch her daily and it is great to have that opportunity. Thank you so much for everything

The first thing I do, when I left my bed after a good night sleep is to see this baby panda ( a girl!) , a marvellous scene to make me strong for the days. We live in a ugly world. Animals like this cub and her tender mummy make us believe in a better world. From Portugal, Teresa Soares

I am thrilled the baby is doing well and that SHE is growing and developing normal. I travelled to San Diego in August and was mesmerised by these beautiful bears that I’ve been watching on the internet for so long. It was amazing and well worth the long journey. Now I’ll have to save up to come see the new little girl! Love and pandahugs, Laney in the UK.

A Kodak moment just happened. I was watching the Panda Cam, as I do far too much daily, and Bai left Baby Girl alone and somehow she was on her back and none too happy about it. She fussed and squirmed for a few moments and then turned over all on her own!!! Then she settled down immediately after. That was so sweet! I think I love this Baby Girl! Thanks SDZ for allowing all of us to watch her grow.

What a blessing this little panda GIRL is! SHE’s beautiful!! I missed Su Lin growing up but have watched Mei Lan in Atlanta and was so looking forward to seeing another little girl go through all of those lovely stages! Bai Yun is such a calm, experienced “mum” and this baby girl looks quite content and happy. How lucky we all are to be able to share in this extraordinary experience with Bai Yun! Thank you, SDZ!
September 14th, 2007 at 8:32 pm
Congrat Bai Yun, had another female panda cub, hope to visit Gao Gao, Mei Sheng, Su Lin and of course Bai Yun and the new lovely girl soon
September 15th, 2007 at 12:39 am
I know she won’t get her name until she is 100 days old, but my vote would be for Cute Cute…=). I’m sure watching her will be as much fun as watching Su Lin and the rest of the family. I’m jealous of the staff at the SDZ since you get to spend your days with such lovable and charismatic and fascinating animals in person…need a helper?…+).

Hurrah!!! It’s a girl! However, if it were a boy it would not matter to me, as long as the cub is healthy and well. And which little panda would not feeling healthy and well being taken care of by such a loving and experienced mother like Bai Yun. Congratulations to all at SDZ and - that goes without saying - to Bai Yun and Gao Gao, well done. Thank you so much everyone at SDZ for bringing the world of pandas into our living rooms. It is so exciting to watch the panda cam and listen to the zoofari chats. I am like many other pandaholics rather envious of the panda keepers who are able to be close to all the pandas at SDZ and of course can watch the little panda girl grow into a beautiful bear.

I think you should name her Hsing Hsing, meaning “star”.
What a treat to watch the mother of the year, Bai Yun! I see her 100 times a day. Thank you!

The first time to know Bai Yuen was about 3 years ago. I was so impressed by such a great panda mama when she gave birth to Sulin and her caring with her baby 24 hours a day. I capture thousands of their wonderful pictures at my desktop. This is the second time I saw Bai Yuen gave birth to a new baby girl. Through the Pandacam, my husband and I are so excited to watch every little movement of Bai Yuen, Sulin and the little baby.
Hi Joel, I totally agree with you, …. to be one of the keeper at the SDZ, and spend my days with the lovable panda is my dream! Here in HK, 2 young panda, Ying Ying and Lok Lok, has just arrived for almost 3 months! I really hope they will become a very good parents like Bai Yuen, in the future. (From Hong Kong)

How exciting!!! I watch the cam on a daily basis, and have totally enjoyed seeing the babies “grow-up. I am from WI, and have been to the SDZ several times, just to see the pandas!!!!
