Another great interview! I have a question for Intrepid Interviewer, Debbie Andreen….why can’t a picture of the person being interviewed, such as Susanne Hall, be included with the IZooFari Chats page??? It would add another dimension to this great new chat page! No video necessary, just a color picture.
Debbie responds: Thank you. We will consider your idea.

Hi Suzanne,
Thanks for the update and the good news about Bai Yun. I am looking forward to the birth of another Panda. I’m in Atlanta and I visit the little baby here Mei Lan, she will turn one year on September 6th, 2007. I will be joining them to celebrate her birthday. Hopefully it will be as wonderful as Su Lin’s party. My prayers are will you, Bai Yun and your staff for the birth of another healthy baby Panda.

Bai Yun is a lady of great experience and has remained her ‘cool’ self during the waiting period before she permitted you to view her secret via ultrasound.
I have seen ’signs’ that made me think Bai could be pregnant, now at last we know and everyone is celebrating the wonderful news from SDZ.
Congratulations to all concerned with Bai’s welfare…..
Meanwhile I will remain on ‘Bai Watch’ - maybe I will get a few hours off sometime during August when Bai produces her new cub(s)………

superhappy for her and everyone there at SDZ…I agree with the comment,, we’ll all be on “Bai Watch”…

Watching the ultrasound video was overwhelming, because even us non skilled people can identify the tiny baby! But I have a doubt. I had the distinct impression of having seen two babies, one on each side. Is it correct or do I want twins so badly that I am be actually imagining things? :-))

Congratulations!
The ultrasound picture is wonderful. Is is my imagination or is that the head off to the right? If so, is it cocked a bit and are the muzzle, nostrils, an eye and maybe an ear visible? And is that the curve of the spine going off to the left ending with a tail? And a rear leg just forward of it to the right??! Wow, the cub is quite developed…
so totally cool! Thank you so much for sharing the image with us!

Congratulations to all staff on the birth of Bai Yun’s 4th cub…..
I could tell by the look on her Bai’s face and her laid back approach to life, that she had a well kept secret until you were able to discover it (just in time!) via ultrasound.
In the early hours of the morning on 03/08/07 (SDZ) Bai was relaxing in her den…..(08.30am UK)
Around 08.00 (SDZ) Bai was in her garden area, after she left enroute back to her den she collected more bamboo and continued making her nest in readiness for her impending labour.
Su Lin had a lovely birthday celebration the previous day so Bai decided to give her a ‘belated birthday gift’ by presenting her and Mei Sheng, with a new brother/sister.
The video of the birth is amazing and seemed to be without ‘complication’ - Bai appeared very calm and indicated that she had done it all successfully three times before!
Bai Yun is such a credit to all concerned, as I looked at the video I could see the elation and excitement that the staff were experiencing - a most memorable moment for all.
I have been priviledged to view the cams daily (from UK) since the birth of Hua Mei……. many things have changed since those days but the love for the Panda’s and animals at SDZ remain.
I have been on ‘Bai watch’ for the past few weeks and was ‘rewarded’ by a cub being born on the 3rd August - not a birthday - just a momento because No.3 is my house number.
I send virtual champagne to all staff and Pandaholics…….
