Happy President's Day interns!

Too bad this holiday it is raining so hard. It would give many people a chance to see the zoo without the crowds.

How is the program going so far?

The Zoo Intern program sounds like an ideal program for high school students who love animals, and science, to learn about possible career paths for them.

Students can pursue their love of animals, while helping in a hands-on way to make a difference for the zoo's animals. They can get a perspective that many of their peers will not have as mere " visitors" to the zoo.

Kudo's to the program's organizers and mentors for these students. You are awesome, and truely inspiring lives that can, and hopefully will, make a huge difference in the world of people, animal, and plants. This planet, and all of us who inhabit it, will be better off for the inspiration you do with these energetic young people.
