I’m sorry about the loss. I’ve been to your zoo, and she was so lively! I freaked out when her pic wasn’t on the site, and I was like “Oh my gosh! Is she okay?!”
I hope Chinook is okay, and will get over the loss easily. God bless Chinook!

I fill so bad for shikari. He was a good polor bear. Plus I have only seen him/her only on the camera.

Dear San Diego Zoo,
I am terribly sorry that Shikari has passed on. I wish she hadn’t died, but things happen for a reason. At our zoo here in Erie PA, our 8-year-old polar bear Alcor died due to a cardiac arrest following medical treatment to his broken paw. His brother Mizar, who is also 8-years-old, has seemed to miss him a little and hasn’t been quiet the same. I regret that your polar bear died, but like ours, I’m glad they were with us for so many years. I bet she’s in polar bear heaven, which is probably seal hell, happy and free.

shikari was a very good animal i loved that polor bearit wa nice friendly and it always put a smile on my face when i was upset god bless her/him god bless all the polor bears

I was very sad to hear about Shikari.I’m sure if she was a person she would be the kindest, friendliest, type that would drop what she was doing to help anyone. God doesn’t know what a gift he got when he got her. God Bless Shikri, and all those around her.

I’m so sorry about the lost.But I’m sure that the polar bears you have now will mate and have cubs (if they are not brothers and sisters)
