Ndlulamitsi

The Lookout

Nicknamed Ndula, this elephant is the tallest in the herd, and likes to make herself even more impressive by standing on her toes as high as she can! This gives her a great view of any new situation and makes her the unofficial lookout for the group. Even her name translates to "taller than trees." Ndula trumpets a lot and likes to splash herself with water or mud. She became a first-time mother in 2004 with the birth of Vus'musi.
