Alive Cub Snow Day at Polar Bear Plunge Sweepstakes Official Contest Rules

DATES OF SWEEPSTAKES: The Sweepstakes begins at 10:00:01 a.m. PST on October 23, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PST on November 30, 2008.

ELIGIBILITY: This sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Winner must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to be eligible to win. Void in New York, Rhode Island, Florida and Puerto Rico. Void to all Florida Residents. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of the Zoological Society of San Diego or advertising and promotional agencies of the Zoological Society of San Diego, and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries, and their immediate family members, are not eligible.

ENTRY: To enter, complete the official entry form that is located at http://www.sandiegozoo.org/. You will be asked to provide your first and last name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. You may be asked to answer some optional questions; however, these need not be answered in order to be eligible for the Sweepstakes. Cookies need not be enabled to enter. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON and ONE WINNER PER HOUSEHOLD. The odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received. Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. All entries become the property of the Zoological Society of San Diego.

POTENTIAL WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED in a random drawing on or about December 1, 2008 from all eligible entries received from 10:00:01 a.m. PST on October 24, 2008 through 23:59:59 p.m. PST on November 30, 2008.

POTENTIAL WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED by e-mail and phone within (1) one day after drawing date. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. The Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and publicity release within five (5) days of notification or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

PRIZES:
GRAND PRIZE (1): one winner will receive a Snow Day at the Zoo VIP Package, which includes four Best Value Tickets, breakfast, and a behind the scenes tour of Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday, December 6, 2008 and a WowWee Alive Cub Polar Bear. Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Prize consists of only the items(s) specifically listed as the prize. Grand prize ARV $720.
FIRST PRIZE: First prizes (4): four winners will receive a WowWee Alive Cub. Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Prize consists of only the items(s) specifically listed as the prize. First prize ARV $150.00 each.
SECOND PRIZE: Second prizes (10): ten winners will receive a $25 gift certificate good at ShopZoo.com. Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Prize consists of only the items(s) specifically listed as the prize. Grand prize ARV $25.
No substitution or transfer of prizes or cash equivalent is permitted except by the Zoological Society of San Diego. Prizes are not valid with any other offer. Value of all prizes excludes tax and shipping. Winners must claim the Grand Prize by Friday, December 5, 2008 and First and Second Prizes by January 5, 2009.

NO RESPONSIBILITY is assumed by the Zoological Society of San Diego for incomplete, incorrect or late entries. No responsibility is assumed by the Zoological Society of San Diego for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Zoological Society of San Diego is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line-systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or entrants on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures due to equipment failure, or any other causes beyond the control of the Zoological Society of San Diego which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Zoological Society of San Diego reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Entrants grant to the Zoological Society of San Diego the right to use and publish their proper name and state of residence, online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Zoological Society of San Diego, its advertising and promotional agencies to use winners' names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Zoological Society of San Diego, WowWee Group Limited, their parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or any prize won. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. The Zoological Society of San Diego will not replace any lost or stolen or prize items once in the winner's possession.

Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the World Famous San Diego Zoo, which are final on all matters pertaining to Sweepstakes. All information collected will be handled under the guidelines of the San Diego Zoo’s Privacy Policy. The laws of the United States govern this Sweepstakes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

The Zoological Society of San Diego reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website; violates these Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

WINNERS LIST: The names of the prize winners may be obtained after January 5, 2009 by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: WowWee Alive Cub Sweepstakes Winners List, 123 Camino de la Reina, Ste. S-100, San Diego, CA 92108. Residents of Washington and Vermont may omit return postage.
