San Diego Zoo Global’s annual black-tie, fund-raising gala will benefit animals from the savanna and cliff areas of the Conrad Prebys Africa Rocks exhibit at the Zoo, including zebras, warthogs, baboons and ibex. Rendezvous In The Zoo (R•I•T•Z) takes place under the stars in the unique setting of the San Diego Zoo on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. Gala chairs Lisette and Mick Farrell, along with 80 volunteers, are planning a party that will transform the Zoo grounds into a magical setting. It will be an unforgettable evening that includes:

Since it began in 1984, R•I•T•Z has raised over $14 million for the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research. Beneficiaries at the Zoo include Sun Bear Forest, Gorilla Tropics, Elephant Odyssey, Ituri Forest, and Pygmy Chimps at Bonobo Road.
R•I•T•Z recipients at the Safari Park include Australian Outback, Tiger Trail, Lion Camp, and the Paul Harter Veterinary Medical Center. The Hawaii Endangered Bird Conservation Program and San Diego Zoo Global conservation programs in the Caribbean have also benefited from R•I•T•Z.
