San Diego Zoo Global’s annual black-tie, fund-raising gala will benefit the new Walkabout Australia at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Rendezvous In The Zoo (R•I•T•Z) takes place under the stars in the unique setting of the San Diego Zoo on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. Gala chairs Tory and Rick Gulley, along with 80 volunteers, are planning a party that will transform the Zoo grounds into a magical setting. It will be an unforgettable evening that includes:

R•I•T•Z 2017 is raising funds for the new Walkabout Australia at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
Walkabout Australia will immerse the visitor into an authentic Aussie bush experience, and provide close and enriching encounters with Australian wildlife. Both auctions will have unique items that will tempt you, and appeal to a multitude of interests while benefiting this new and exciting addition to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

Since it began in 1984, R•I•T•Z has raised over $19 million for the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research. Beneficiaries at the Zoo include Australian Outback, Sun Bear Forest, Gorilla Tropics, Elephant Odyssey, Ituri Forest, and Pygmy Chimps at Bonobo Road.
R•I•T•Z recipients at the Safari Park include Tiger Trail, Lion Camp, and the Paul Harter Veterinary Medical Center. The Hawaii Endangered Bird Conservation Program and San Diego Zoo Global conservation programs in the Caribbean have also benefited from R•I•T•Z.
