Junior Explorers
Here’s a tour catered to little ones (ages 3–6) that can be enjoyed by the whole family! Your youngsters are learning to use their senses every day to discover the world. In this tour, we’ll help them discover how the Park’s animals do the very same.
We’ll start things off by decorating a safari hat to wear throughout the tour. Then we’ll hop aboard a private cart that takes us to the Park’s Petting Kraal before it opens for the day. Here you can enjoy some private time with our gentle antelope, sheep, and deer species while offering them some tasty treats. We’ll cross the path to our meerkat exhibit and go behind the scenes to feed these curious critters a snack before our cart takes us to get great views the cheetahs, flamingos, and black rhinos along the Journey into Africa tour path.
The adventure continues as we visit the Park’s Heart of Africa habitat and feed a school of catfish living in the large lagoon before heading over to the Discovery Station Amphitheater to meet and touch an adorable critter.
Throughout the tour, your guide will have props and biofacts for little hands to touch and examine and will play some of the many interesting sounds animals make. It all makes for a delightful adventure your family is sure to remember for a long time!
