Focus on Photography
The Wild Animal Park and its animal collection have inspired and helped connect photographers to wildlife throughout the world, and we can do the same for you! With a professional photographer as your guide, you’ll be taken to an outdoor classroom area where you will learn camera and composition basics (at the beginner level) or get tips about subject, background, and lighting (intermediate/advanced level).
You’ll then step back aboard our roving classroom—a caravan truck—to venture into our expansive field exhibits. While out in the field, your teacher will focus on photographic opportunities and give you a chance to practice techniques covered in the classroom. Individual instruction is offered as needed. You may have an opportunity to feed giraffes in the large East Africa habitat, which affords an excellent opportunity to work with fill flash.
We believe there is great value in photographing wildlife, and it is our hope that your understanding and appreciation of animals will be enhanced during this unique adventure!
