Spring Brewmaster Dinner, featuring The Lost Abbey Brewery

Reception and animal presentation at 6 p.m.; dinner at 6:30 p.m.

We’ll be serving an elegant and delicious four-course meal at the Hunte Nairobi Pavilion, and each course will be paired with a specially selected beer presented by Tomme Arthur, co-founder and director of brewery operations at The Lost Abbey brewery. The ground-breaking Lost Abbey family of Belgian-inspired beers is aged for up to 18 months in French oak, brandy, and bourbon barrels. The beers are universally recognized for their complexity, unique flavors, and bold, boundary-pushing styles. Craft brewed, The Lost Abbey has won nearly 100 medals in regional, national, and international competitions.

Cost is $79 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Includes a 30-minute reception and animal presentation, dinner, all beer selections, and a souvenir lost Abbey glass. Nonmembers add Park admission. Must be at least 21 years old to attend. Guests will be seated at tables of 8. Reservations are required; please call 760-738-5055 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Butterfly Preview Dinner

Friday, April 8
5:30–6:15 p.m.: Cocktail reception (no-host) and appetizers in the Flightline Plaza area
6:15 p.m.: Dinner and animal presentation at Hunte Nairobi Pavilion

Begin your enjoyable evening with appetizers, cocktails, and exclusive viewing of the winged wonders in Hidden Jungle, with a keeper present to point out the various bird and butterfly species and answer any questions you may have. This exclusive preview is followed by a delectable four-course dinner in the Hunte Nairobi Pavilion.

Cost is $69 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Nonmembers add Park admission. Guests will be seated at tables of 8. Reservations are required; please call 760-738-5055 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. A credit card number is required for reservations.

Dining facilities at the Park

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is committed to providing a wide selection of high-quality, delicious all-American or international fare, snacks, and healthy alternatives at the various food stands and carts throughout the Park, as well as at the following dining facilities:

Thorntree Terrace: Located in Nairobi Village, the Thorntree Terrace offers a selection of sandwiches, salads, and burgers to diners as well as daily entertainment from the nearby inhabitants of Spider Monkey Island. Breakfast is also served here until 10:30 a.m.

Mombasa Island Cooker: An outdoor dining facility covered with a thatched roof and located in a secluded area surrounded with exotic waterfowl, the Mombasa Island Cooker serves up Italian and Asian specialties, as well as salads and burgers.

Okavango Outpost:
Select your meal from a choice of hot dogs, deli sandwiches, salads, and Kid’s Meals, then dine outdoors and enjoy the spectacular scenery in the Park’s Heart of Africa exhibit.

Samburu Terrace: This outdoor dining facility is located just below the popular Bird Show amphitheater. It offers burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken sandwiches, Kid’s Meals, salads, and “South of the Border” entrées.

Congo Kitchen: Located in Nairobi Village, across from the main gift shop, Congo Kitchen serves hot dogs, nachos, and Kid’s Meals.
