Angela Fiore

Angela Fiore has been caring for animals since 1998 when she started her career at the Brookfield Zoo. She has also worked with animals in their native habitats, including chimpanzees orphaned by the bushmeat trade at the Canaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Center in Cameroon. Angela worked with captive pandas at the Wolong Panda Research Center in China and served as a research associate at the Gorilla Foundation with a gorilla named Koko who learned sign language.

Angela joined the San Diego Zoo as a panda keeper in 2005. She has a bachelor of science degree in zoology from Southern Illinois University and a master of science degree in primate conservation from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England.
