Kid Territory:Recipes: Easy Elephant Eggs

Here's a recipe big enough to satisfy the largest land mammal, so make sure you have a few friends over for breakfast to share the feast! A perfect meal after a sleepover! Grab your favorite grownup and let's get started.

Ingredients

1

 pound ground sausage

12

 slices white bread

1

 pound cheese, grated

8

 eggs

2

 cups milk

Butter a 9" x 12" casserole dish. Line the bottom and sides of it with bread. Brown the ground sausage in a skillet and drain off the grease. Put the sausage on top of the bread in the casserole dish. Mix eggs and milk and pour over the bread. Cover with cheese. Bake at 350° F for 45 minutes.

Snuggle up with a good book. Horton Hatches a Who by Dr. Seuss is a good one for those who ate too much, or stayed up too late the night before!
