Blooming Conservation in Orange County

This program emphasizes partnership building to implement projects specifically designed to meet the conservation needs of stakeholders in the Orange County region.

The program’s fundamental strategy is based on a three-stage planning process that includes assessment of priority conservation needs, linking regional needs to our mission and conservation goals, and developing partnerships to nurture and implement conservation programs.

Activities currently in development include banking of seeds of native Orange County flora and propagation of native plant material in partnership with the Orange County Great Park, and GIS-based assessment of habitat connectivity to facilitate design and management of regional wildlife corridors, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy and the Conservation Fund.
