San Diego Science Festival Wildly Successful

The San Diego Zoo’s Institute for Conservation Research was excited to be a collaborator in the inaugural San Diego Science Festival.

The Institute held an event entitled “Endangered!” in early March at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center for Conservation Research that was open to the public and brought scientists together with members of the community to talk about wildlife conservation.

The Science Festival culminated with an Expo Day in Balboa Park where the Institute held a booth and engaged with the public and shared stories and activities focused on conserving endangered species. The Expo Day was attended by more than 100,000 members of the Greater San Diego Community and was a smashing success for the first ever west coast science festival. We’re looking forward to partnering again next year for an even bigger turnout!
