Becom a Sponsor: Project Elephant Footprint

Here is a unique opportunity to be actively involved in elephant conservation. Take action and help the San Diego Zoo protect nearly half of Africa’s elephants by supporting Project Elephant Footprint!

Leading the effort is world-renowned elephant ecologist Dr. Mike Chase, who has discovered the world’s largest and longest elephant migration in Botswana and the surrounding region. Our annual goal of $250,000 will support Dr. Chase’s research, advocacy and conservation efforts, and will truly make a difference in the lives of these elephants.

Currently 8 elephants are being tracked by Dr. Chase and our team in a 50,000-square-mile study area so we can gain insight into their migration patterns. All elephants have amazing stories and we wanted to share the stories of 3 of those elephants. Details here.

Feeling hard pressed to find the perfect birthday or anniversary gift? Make a sponsorship donation from $35 to $1,000 or any amount you choose in honor of someone special, or in your own name. Either way, an elephant footprint is sure to earn you a stamp of approval!
