Spooky Sleepover: Creepy Body Parts

At the San Diego Zoo
Awesome Adaptations – How animals’ physical features and behaviors are adapted for their survival
Get into the "spirit" of the season at this good-natured overnight adventure at the Zoo. You'll find out all about critters and their "Creepy Body Parts" as you explore animal adaptations.
Campers arrive at Otto Center for an icebreaker and orientation with Dr. Zoolittle’s staff. A private bus tour focusing on animal adaptations takes you to the campsite. A buffet dinner is served at Camp Timbuktu, followed by a spooky sing-along with Wild Wes. Get a fun trick-or-treat experience around the Reptile House with a costume parade and prizes. Return to camp for dessert and early bedtime for younger children. A choice of optional moonlight tours are available for night owls to see more spooky animals.
The following morning, there is a hot breakfast followed by some “Spectacular Sphere” and craft activities. The adventure concludes with a morning Zoo walk and behind-the-scenes viewing of some more amazing animals.
For families, ages 4 and up. Reservations are required and this event fills up fast! For information and reservations, please call (619) 718-3000 or (800) 407-9534.
