All aboard the Zoo Express! Youngsters and their favorite adults will take exclusive rides on the Balboa Park Miniature Railroad. Move from station to staton and get your ticket punched when you meet an animal, make a craft, and eat a snack. We'll all be entertained by Dr. Zoolittle on the grass inside the train yard. Toot-toot!
This month's theme is "Riding through the Garden" to coincide with the Zoo’s Garden Celebration. You'll l earn about herbivores with the Zoo educators, enjoy activities on the grass inside the train yard, make an easy and fabulous flower art project, and create a garden snack to eat.
Kids' Safari is for families with children ages 3–7. Program fee is $12 per person for members, adult or child (child must have accompanying adult); for nonmembers the fee is $16 per person, adult or child (price does not include admission to the Zoo).
Applications are processed by postmark/fax date. A confirmation letter will be sent to you upon enrollment. If the program you registered for is sold out, your payment will be returned. Sorry, no refunds on cancellations with less than two weeks' notice or on fees less than $30. We retain a $10 cancellation fee per person, per program. Please note that some elements of all classes are subject to change due to weather, animal illness, availability, etc. Prices subject to change without notice.
