and Omelets

Saturday, January 24, 2009

GorillaThis exclusive event is the fulfillment of an ape-lover's heart's desire. Enter the San Diego Zoo before it is open to the public, and join the orangutans and several of their keepers. The orangutans will enjoy ape delights such as special fruits and enrichment items that will enhance their environment while you sip mimosas with an intimate group of guests (maximum registration for this event is 18 people!) The keepers will engage you with tales of strength, curiosity, and mischief from the orangutan family at the Zoo.

Then it's on to the gorilla viewing area where you and those gentle giants will spend some quality time enjoying each other's activities. The gorillas will be treated to some extra special enrichment and scrumptious morsels. The keepers will again be on hand to weave the tales of two troops that share this habitat.

A deluxe breakfast awaits you in the Treetops room where you will get your fill of made-to-order omelets and more details on the great apes at the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park and hear about conservation efforts through a presentation from the primate care staff.

Your morning adventure ends with a presentation of your limited-edition gift package.
