At the Wild Animal Park

Venture deeper into the Wild Animal Park experience! A Ride on the Wild Side takes you in an electric cart to meet an animal up close, visit the back area of Lion Camp, and check out the cheetahs’ bedrooms. This two-hour tour also includes a trip on the Journey into Africa path, as well as the use of binoculars to help you get the best view possible of our African animals.

A knowledgeable guide provides the inside scoop on how we care for our animals, design our trend-setting enclosures, and carry out conservation and research work worldwide and here in San Diego.


The Ride on the Wild Side tour takes place daily at 12:30 p.m. Come by yourself or with family and friends; we take a maximum of 10 people per tour. Program fee is $70 per person; nonmembers must add Park admission fee.
