Calendar: Party for the Planet

At the Wild Animal Park
Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20, 2008
9 a.m.—4:30 p.m.
The Wild Animal Park is joining other zoos and aquariums worldwide to celebrate the Year of the Frog for our annual Earth Day celebration, Party for the Planet. The event will take place in Discovery Station, Schroeder Plaza, and Hunte Pavilion. We'll show you how to make frog masks, salamander hats, your own lily pads, beaded baby frogs, and froggy paper bag puppets. We will also have fun games like Tic-Tac-Toad, Leap races, and more.
Our bullfrogs will be making an appearance in Discovery Station and look out for the Frog character from the Experience Africa show. Dr. Stanley will be putting on a hoppin' good show in the Discovery Station Amphitheater. Our researchers will be on hand educating guests about the Year of the Frog and the worldwide goal to save amphibians and their habitats.
