"Fly" over the Park's field exhibits
For an exhilarating, wind-in-your-face thrill, experience the one-of-a-kind Flightline at the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. Soar from a ridgetop along a cable as you glide approximately 2/3 of a mile over exotic animals and open exhibits, the picturesque San Pasqual Valley unfolding before you.

This is the ultimate recreational experience for those looking for excitement. Secure and comfortable in your harness, you will soar as high as 160 feet above the ground as the landscape whizzes by below you.

The Flightline experience includes gear, an orientation, and a "fledgling" line to practice taking off from a platform and successfully landing. This first Flightline run is 470 feet long and carries you through fragrant, shady trees.

Once “fledged,” you board a truck for a ride to the upper launch area of our main Flightline. Along the way, hear about our condor conservation program. With a panoramic view of the Wild Animal Park, Flightline safety and flying techniques are reviewed to maximize your soaring experience. Once you learn the ropes, your guide hooks your harness onto the sturdy cable “trolley” and you're ready to fly the friendly skies, landing safely near our campground at the Park's Kilima Point!

Plan approximately 1½ to 2 hours for the complete Flightline experience, from orientation to final landing. Closed-toed secure shoes required; minimum age is 10 years old, participants must weigh between 75 and 250 pounds and be able to fit within the safety harness. Tickets are $70 per person, plus Park admission for nonmembers. One-third of the funds raised this year will go to the San Diego Zoo's California condor conservation program. You can enjoy your "flight" knowing that you're also helping some magnificent birds soar once more!
