What does the Wild Animal Park Adventure Birthday Party package include?
You child’s party package includes lunch in a reserved section
of Thorntree Terrace, all day Conservation Carousel rides for the party guests, birthday
cake, ice cream, and an up-close animal encounter.
What is the cost of the Adventure Birthday Party package?
$450 for a group of up to 10 children and 2 adults. Additional party
guests (up to a maximum of 25) can be included for $20 per person.
Wild Animal Park admission is not included.
What are my lunch choices?
All party guests will receive the Wild Animal Park’s Kids’ Meals
colorful bucket, cup, and a choice of either Chicken Fingers or Hot Dogs.
How do I make a reservation?
Complete the Wild Animal Park Adventure Birthday Party Reservation Sheet and forward
it, via e-mail, to our reservations staff. We will call you to confirm
the party date, time, and arrangements within 36 hours, Monday through
Friday.
Is parking included?
No, parking is not included in the package price.
What do we do when we arrive at the Wild Animal Park?
A member of the Park’s staff will greet you at the entrance. Your
greeter will have a large wagon to help transport any birthday gifts
to the party site. If you need to purchase admission tickets for your
party, you can purchase them at the Admissions Booth in the front entrance
or online (click here to order Park admission tickets from our Web site).
Can we bring our own cake or other food?
Lunch and cake are included in your party package. Sorry, you cannot
bring your own food onto Wild Animal Park grounds for the event.
Is the party site decorated?
Yes, we will have colorful tablecloths, a "Happy Birthday" sign, and playful
wildlife table decorations. You may bring additional decorations for
your party. However, please note that balloons and small plastic party
favors are not allowed in the Wild Animal Park: they can pose a hazard for animals.
You may want to visit ShopZoo.com to view birthday party gift bag items
available for purchase and delivery to the Park.
Will the children have a chance to touch an animal?
The animals used by our Educators are gentle animals that are very comfortable
with contact. In most cases, some animal touching will be allowed.
Can we arrive at the Wild Animal Park early on the party day?
Since admission is not included in the party package, you are welcome
to purchase your tickets or use your Zoological Society of San Diego membership cards to enter the Park at any time. Please let the reservations staff
knows this when making your reservation and we will give you specific
directions to the party site. Unfortunately, the Park’s greeter
will not be able to meet you at the entrance at an earlier arrival
time.
What if we have more guests than are allowed in the party area?
For the safety of the children and Wild Animal Park guests, the occupancy limit is
strictly enforced and a maximum of 25 guests may attend. You are welcome
to invite additional guests to meet you after the party and enjoy the rest of the day exploring the Park’s
exhibits and attractions.
What if we have special dietary needs?
We are happy to try to meet your needs. Please let us know how we can
help when you make your reservation.
Is there storage available for birthday presents and other items?
There are lockers available to rent at the Wild Animal Park’s front entrance
for storing items. You are also welcome to exit the Park, after receiving
a hand stamp, to load the items in your car, and then return to the Park
to continue your adventure.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your reservation can be cancelled, at no charge, at any time, up to 10
business days prior to your party. Cancellations made less than 10
days before the party are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations
are not accepted less than three days before the scheduled party date.
What is your rainy day policy?
The Wild Animal Park is open rain or shine. If it is raining on your
party day, we will move your party into a covered area, safe from the
rain.
