Guava Psidium guajava

No one is sure of the origins of guava trees Psidium guajava. Their easy-to-reach fruit has been distributed by humans, birds, and mammals throughout the temperate regions of the New World. But most botanists think guavas first made their appearance in Mexico or Central America. At any rate, guavas are now raised in just about every warm climate in the Old and New World. They make a pleasant smallish garden tree with lots of fruit that is guaranteed to attract the local wildlife, including your neighborhood kids!
