Dudleya or Live-forever Dudleya
FAMILY: CRASSULACEAE (Stonecrop or Orpine Family)
D is for dudleya. These low-profile succulents, also called "live-forevers," manage to thrive on rocky cliffs, in coastal sage scrub, and in the desert transition area of theSafari Park's California Nativescapes Garden. They were named for William Russell Dudley, who started the Botany Department at Stanford University.
