Palm: Shaving Brush Palm, Norfolk Palm Rhopalostylis baueri

FAMILY: ARECACEAE (Palm Family)

Taller and wider than the feather-duster palm Rhopalostylis sapida, the robust shaving brush or Norfolk palm has a noticeably stout crownshaft. When ripe, the fruits are red. Young plants may have a reddish tinge to the leaves.
