Aloe: Dawe's Aloe Aloe dawei

In the early 1900s Mr. Dawe, curator of the Botanical Gardens at Entebbe, Uganda, first described aloes that had leaves "armed with pungent reddish-brown teeth." The slow-growing Central African aloes were therefore named after him: Dawe's aloe Aloe dawei.
