Plants: Species
Apache Plume Fallugia paradoxa
FAMILY: ROSACEAE (Rose Family)
The Apache plume Fallugia paradoxa produces delicate white flowers in the spring that resemble single-petaled roses. But then the real show starts, as the clusters of feathery fruits appear, first greenish, then changing to shades of pink and red before the plumes, with seeds attached, are lifted by the wind and twirled to a new growing place.
