Sumac: Laurel Sumac Malosma laurina

FAMILY: ANACARDIACEAE (Cashew Family)

L is for Laurel Sumac. Both inside and outside the Safari Park, this tall evergreen shrub is one of the signature plants of the chaparral. Its taco-shaped leaves resemble bay laurel, but it's in the cashew family.
