Plants: Gardens: My Color Garden

My Color Garden in the San Diego Zoo's Children's Zoo is geared to brighten young visitors' imaginations. Designed to help kids notice all the beautiful colors in nature, My Color Garden, presented by Frazee Paint and Wallcovering, contains plants representing the colors red, yellow, blue, orange, green, and purple.

To help youngsters make the color connection, over-sized cutouts of paint spilling out of buckets representing these colors are placed within the garden, which extends from the Children's Zoo entrance into the main areas. Kids can also have fun checking out the color-related names of some animals, such as the yellow-spotted diving beetle, the green tree python, and the orange-rumped agouti.
